John Wilson

John is our head physiotherapist and is an Australian Physiotherapy Association Titled Sports Physiotherapist.

He has 37 years (2024) experience which has included:

- AFL Teams

- Olympic Gold Medal Athletes

- Track and Field, Swim Squads

- Hospital Orthopaedics

- Pilates, Strength and Conditioning

- Sporting Children and Adolescents

John has a range of qualifications which include:

- BACHELOR OF APPLIED SCIENCE (PHYSIOTHERAPY)

- pOST GRAD DIPLOMA IN SPORTS PHYSIOTHERAPY

- WATSON HEADACHE CERTIFIED PRACTITIONER

- dma CLINICAL PILATES

- DRY NEEDLING CERTIFIcation

- Melbourne university and la trobe university clinical educator

- titled member of the australian college of physiotherapists (macp)

John has access to a range of diagnostic services and orthopaedic and medical consultants. He is able to help find your important diagnosis and plan a treatment pathway based on your diagnosis.

Lionel Mawditt

Lionel Mawditt – Physiotherapist
Lionel graduated from La Trobe University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice. He has a strong background in musculoskeletal private practice, post-operative rehabilitation in private hospitals, and neurological/NDIS physiotherapy.

Lionel’s qualifications include:

- BACHELOR OF health science

- Master’s of Physiotherapy

- dma CLINICAL PILATES level 1

- Australian Strength and Conditioning Association level 1

- DRY NEEDLING CERTIFIcation

A six-time national representative across two sports and a 2:28 marathon runner, Lionel has a deep understanding of the demands faced by endurance athletes.

He specialises in working with runners and cyclists, guiding both recreational and elite athletes through injury recovery and performance optimisation. He also operates a bike fitting business tailored to cyclist needs.

Outside of work, Lionel enjoys running, cycling, stregnth training, AFL, home-renovations and cooking.

Dean Sotiropoulos

as our newest member of the wilson physiotherapy group team, Dean comes to us with a masters in physiotherapy from La Trobe Univertsity in 2024.

- Bachelor of Sport and exercise science, Masters of Physiotherapy Practice

- Multiple years experience as an exercise scientist and running pilates + exercise classes

- Performance analyst intern as Essendon Bombers mens AFL team

Dean enjoys working with all cohorts on helping people achieve their best quality of life with a great mixture of hands-on and exercise-based treatment methods. 

In his spare time Dean enjoys a range of hobbies that includE playing basketball, playing soccer and watching carlton Football club.

 

Kristie Forster

Our lovely pilates instructor, Kristie, holds a qualification as an APPI ceritified Pilates instructor

In her spare time, Kristie loves most to spend time with her family and friends. Some of her other interests include dancing, reading and of course participating in pilates classes herself!
